Owner, shopkeeper, and heart behind The Celtic Sunflower.
Meet the shopkeeper
A long-held dream,
finally in bloom.
My name is Pat Kelsey. My husband, Bob, and I have called Ocean Shores home full time since 2016. I dreamed of opening a store that same year, but life led me to a regular nine-to-five first. After retiring in 2022, I finally opened The Celtic Sunflower that October in its first location.
In February 2025, the shop found its current colorful home. Owning a business has a learning curve, but it has been exciting and fun. I could not do it without Bob, our family and friends, the Ocean Shores business community that welcomed me, and every customer who has shopped here and shared kind feedback.
Welcome to a haven of thoughtfully curated treasures—cards, teas, soaps, candles, and so much more. Whenever I can, I choose small-batch goods from talented women makers and women-owned brands, so every purchase can help another dream take root.
“To everyone who has supported this little shop: I love and appreciate you all.”

Meet Ziggy
& Poppy.
Pat's Yorkies are her constant companions and the shop's unofficial greeters. Poppy is the reddish-colored girl, and Ziggy is the gray boy; both are often nearby while Pat tends the shelves, keeps an eye out for new treasures, and welcomes visitors through the bright blue door.
If they are in for the day, you may spot the pair supervising the shop—or simply adding a little extra personality to the treasure hunt.

Shop dogs, faithful companions, and professional charmers.
